Refugees in Austin, Texas Sew Masks for Healthcare Heroes

It’s all hands on deck at the Open Arms Studio!

We are joining forces with makers across the country to produce one-size-fits-most, 4-layer cloth mask covers for medical staff in an effort to reserve N95 mask supplies. Above is a photo of some concept samples developed by our team using leftover cotton canvas from our previous partnership with Ikea

A big thank you to JOANNs for partnering with our studio and generously contributing materials to make this project possible. In addition to providing fabric and ribbon straps for us to sew with, they have paid for one week of production for our refugee staff!
